Where Have All the Cartoons Gone?

I had this nagging thought today... Cartoons. I don't know why. Since this is a matter of extreme importance, i have decided to write about... you guessed it... Cartoons!

I grew up with the sickest cartoons, man! Kids may be going crazy about Barney, the Purple Dino and stuff but nothing, and i mean nothing beats (in no particular order):

#1: THUNDERCATS

You gotta know this one! The legendary Lion-O with the Sword of Omens and the famous cry: (together now...) "Thunder, thunder, thunder... thundercats!" With an array of warriors - Tygra (it's the tiger if you're still thinking...), Panthro (by now if you still can't get it... Panther... it's the panther), Cheetara (the cheetah - the only female warrior) and WilyKat & WilyKit (the mischiveous... you got it right, Wildcats)! Together they battle Mumm-Ra, the evil mummy-like sorcerer!

#2: TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES

The cartoon ok, NOT the Movie! The movie was horrendous!

See the difference? Hahaha! The movie Turtles look totally 'ham sap"! Something is really wrong with their teeth.

Leonardo - Raphael - Michelangelo - Donatello - My fav? Definitely Leonardo and Michelangelo!

I actually had a pair of Ninja Turtles' shoes with a Leonardo print by the side. My prized shoes; wore it wherever I went. Move aside Nike, the Turtle are here! Cowabanga dude!

#3: SILVERHAWKS

I really don't know how many of you remember this one! But i had the t-shirt. Hahaha! Silverhawks t-shirt... wore it all the time with my Ninja Turtle shoes. Fashion statement at 6!

The next one isn't really a cartoon... cartoon... but this has to go down as one of the classics!

#4: SESAME STREET

No better way to learn to count than to learn with Count! One (thunder, lightning bolt...), two (thunder, lightning bolt...). Hahaha. And counting cookies with Cookie Monster!

#4: SATRIA BAJA HITAM & GABAN

Definitely not cartoon... cartoon... but worth the watch nevertheless!

These jokers are really jokers! Just take a look at them! I don't know why i liked them so much also. Sigh... The price of growing up! Baja Hitam rides a Suzuki bike (Really..., it's a Suzuki... I checked) from his secret hideout all the way to the scene of the crime! You gotta be kidding me, right? On a Suzuki bike??!! And he's never late! Hahaha! Kopak la. But very enjoyable... hahaha.

The point is this: WHERE HAVE ALL THE CARTOONS GONE?

Barney, please move aside! Make way for the REAL Cartoons.
